(UK) Electricity companies … falling at the first hurdle!

Someone said this week 'if this was happening in Surrey, service would have been restored within hours' ... and this is probably true. However, because it's not and the North East is bearing the brunt of the inefficiencies of power companies, Boris has little or no interest in the matter. People have been without electricity of more than a week in many places due to electricity companies being unprepared for the event, disorganised whilst tackling the consequences of the event and unable to say sorry to those affected by the event. We say once again, all utilities services are part of the national security fabric of this country and should be owned by the government and the government made responsible for their efficient working. Unfortunately, they are treated simply as cash cows for investors showing us yet again, the very BAD side of capitalism.
